On May 4, 2021 Scame Parre S.p.A. has finalized the acquisition of 85% of Magnum Cap Lda, a Portuguese company dedicated to the production and distribution of charging systems for the electric vehicle.
The agreement was signed by Eng Stefano Scainelli, CEO of Scame Parre S.p.A., a manufacturer of electrical equipment based in Parre (BG), and Eng José Henriques, CEO and founder in 2009 of Magnum Cap Lda company, based in Aveiro.
The acquisition of Magnum Cap is part of Scame Parre S.p.A.'s broader strategy aimed at further strengthening its leading role in the sector of systems and infrastructures for charging electric vehicles, an area in which it has been successfully operating for more than twenty years.
"Beyond the obvious commercial benefits in terms of strengthening the current sales networks, however, guaranteeing continuity of service to the respective stakeholders - explains Stefano Scainelli - the value of this operation lies in the strong synergies between the two companies in terms of skills and respective product offers, both sharing an approach that focuses on the customer, the recipient of technologically advanced and highly customizable solutions as well as efficient pre and post sales services. This will allow the Scame group to present itself on the markets with a more complete offer than ever from the point of view of both hardware and local management of the charging infrastructure through a dedicated software platform ".
"Scame Parre S.p.A. - continues Scainelli - was among the very first companies to believe in a different concept of mobility, presenting in 1999 the first connector in the world specifically designed and built for charging electric vehicles. The acquisition is therefore part of a groove traced years ago and which we intend to follow with ever greater determination in the years to come, so as to govern change without undergoing it, anticipating the needs of the market thanks to the capabilities, in terms of vision and research and development of the two joint companies".
“Through Scame Parre S.p.A. – José Henriques adds – I really believe that we are together consolidating the leadership and strong positioning as an EV chargers worldwide player, including a complete range of state of the art solutions for electric mobility. Scame Parre SpA is also the perfect match to leverage the existing technologies by adding its industrial knowledge and worldwide presence.”
With the current acquisition Scame Parre S.p.A. further strengthens its production and sales structure in the rapidly expanding sector of e-mobility.
