ENEA Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Environment What is l'ENEA? It works and promotes research and development in the energy sector . She also successfully participates in projects in the fields of industrial technologies and new materials , environment and telecommunications . Join together with other research , for cooperative research activities with the purpose of scientific and technical support to PMI on the basis of the CRAFT scheme . Its activities in the field of nuclear fusion are mainly funded through the agreement of association : EURATOM / ENEA and has a particular relevance to their strategic nature and the amount of funds allocated .

European Union

ENEA is present with roles , functions and skills in many different European Union initiatives such as:

• Research Framework Programme
• Multiregional and Regional Operational Programmes
• Community Initiative Programmes

Cooperates with :

• over 150 different Italian partners ( industry players about 50 % and Public Administration )
• over 550 different foreign partners , ranging from academia , research institutions and Small and Medium Enterprises (PMI ) .

Major initiatives

With the aim of improving access and the involvement of Italian PMI in research at European level , ENEA is present in various initiatives including :

• IRENE - Innovation RElay centre North East
  funded by the European Union under the program for the exploitation of research results and technological development activities whose assistance, advice and information specifically targeted towards PMI ;

ENEA is a partner of:

• SINAL - National System for Accreditation of Test Laboratories
• IGQ - Italian Institute of Quality Assurance

cooperates with

• EURAMET - Italian Institute of Quality Assurance

and is a part of

• ICILA - Institute of Quality Certification for Industrial Wood and Furnishing
