Tubes: flush-mounting

In flush-mounting situations, you need to, first of all, consider the tracing of protective tubes: it must be a horizontal straight line, even though a slight inclination may be useful to discharge any condensate that may build up inside, or vertical. All bends should feature unions or elbows that:

•  do not damage the tubes;

•  allow cables to be unthreaded.



A shunt box must be used at each shunt or, if necessary, to overcome difficulties in the brickwork. This procedures simplifies the installation of conductors, as well as any subsequent changes to the system. The boxes must be such as to prevent the introduction of foreign bodies, and their cover must be such that it can only be opened with a tool. When choosing the boxes, it is also recommended to verify their proper installation characteristics. Incidentally, the Scame catalogue offers many possibilities, from rectangular flush-mounting boxes to round ones, along with a wide range of fittings (such as, for example, dividers and mortar-proof covers).

In the case of new buildings, underground passages are usually provided for technical installations. Since these passages normally hold multiple ducting, you need to be especially careful to avoid dangerous interferences (condensate, overheating, etc.) between them.

It is also recommended to abide by these instructions:

- the distance between the two grooves must be greater than 1.50 m ;

- the grooves must be at a distance of at least 20 cm from the intersection of two walls .



Prefabricated buildings

Prefabricated buildings require an entirely different approach, as in this case you cannot do anything at a later time. The reference standard for protection tubes buried in concrete is CEI 23-55. The conduits must be inserted in the boxes using unions that ensure perfect seal and do not cause any choking.

In this case, special attention must be paid in the choice and installation of shunt boxes, in order to provide excellent resistance to thermal and mechanical stress. Moreover, you need to be especially careful in choosing the method used to secure them.


Floor installations

For this type of installations, the suitable conduits are the crushproof type that comply with Standard CEI EN 50086-1. After they are laid, arrange for suitable protection in order to prevent any possible damage.
