GENERAL DESCRIPTION

With the HALE Series SCAME has two versions of portable lamps:

HALE Series IP55	HALE Series IP20

for solving lighting problems in situations where, because of the nature of the work, a portable lamps is required.

SCAMES' portable lights can be supplied from a safety supply source (SELV). When supplied from a safety supply source the lamps can be used in wet or very damp environments and can be in contact with large metal structures.

  Portable electrical lamps must meet the following reqirements:
  a - grip made of non-hygroscopic insulating material;
  b - full protection against accidental contacts with live parts;
  c - buld protection cage secured to the insulating grip by means of an external collar;
  d - perfect insulation of the live portations of any metal parts in contact with the grip.

  Portable electric lamps used in wet or very damp envuronmentd or whiting or in contact with large metal masses, in addition to meeting in the above requiments must be fed by a power supply of not more that 25 V to earth and fitted with a glass casing. If power is supplied to these lamps through a transformer, its primary and secondary windings must be separate and isolate from each other.
