GENERAL DESCRIPTION
................................................................................................................................................................
SCAME, ADVANCE 2 Series, interlocked socket outlets
have smooth and well-connected surfaces, with no
sharp edge or lines, included the hand grip, which
ensure top safety and ergonomic use as well as easy
cleaning, being installed in environments that
particularly need such requirement.
A vertical convex strip symmetrically runs along the
front side, gathering the handgrip control, which can
be also provided with lock, the transparent opening
for the monitoring of switches or protective fuses
that connect down with the socket, following the
round profile of the cover and being a sort of
functional axis of the product.
The small window has been installed by overprinting.
It allows maintaining the IP67 degree of protection
without using any gasket or shutter, with perfectly
smooth surfaces.

ADVANCE 2 Series < 50V
Protections for the version with transformer |
The SELV system is effectively used on low voltage
installations to provide protection against shock
hazards for personnel in the event of direct or indirect
contacts.
IEC 60364 Standards require the following essential
conditions to be met by an installation to implement
the SELV system:
- rated voltage: not above 50V~ or 120V d.c.
- power supply: from a safety source with galvanic
separation, eg. safety transformer, emergency
generator, battery, equivalent electronic devices, etc.
- live parts are not earthed nor connected to the live
parts of other electrical systems nor to protective
conductors of other circuits
- electric circuits: electric separation from other
circuits with isolation characteristics equal to those
provided between the primary and secondary
winding of the safety transformers, use a nonmetallic
sheath.
- metallic bodies should not be earthed nor connected
to protective conductors or the metallic bodies of
other electrical systems nor to external metallic
bodies
- plugs should not be inserted into the sockets of
other electrical systems
- sockets should not allow for the insertion of plugs of
other electrical systems and should not have earth
contact.
CHARACTERISTICS OF THE HD MATERIAL:
................................................................................................................................................................
This designation refers to a series of SCAME products
made of special polymer alloys, the result of lengthy
research and testing both in the laboratory and in the
field. The materials used have excellent resistance to ambient
conditions such as humidity, steam, saline or acid
fumes. The performance of the products is therefore
unaffected and remains unchanged over time.
The chemical and physical characteristics of the
material used for HEAVY DUTY boxes are listed as well
as relevant reference standards and the chemical
compounds they guarantee protection from.Excellent stability to the following chemical
compounds:
Acids: 10% hydrochloric acid, 30% sulphuric acid, 10%
acetic acid.
Alkaline: 10% sodium hydroxide (caustic soda), 10%
potassium hydroxide.
Organic solvents: ethyl alcohol, isopropyl alcohol,
ethylene glycol.
Oils and fuels for motor-vehicles: engine, brake, gear
oil; 2-star petrol, 4-star petrol, leadfree petrol.
Salts: 5% sodium chloride, 10% zinc chloride, 10%
calcium chloride.
The following compounds should be avoided:
Organic solvents: acetone, methylene chloride, ethyl
acetate.
Alkaline: 10% ammonium hydroxide.
