SINAL
National System for Accreditation of Laboratories
What is SINAL?
SINAL is a non -profit organization for the accreditation of testing laboratories . It also simplifies the procedures and equates to facilitate international trade .
Constitution
Formed in 1988 by CEI and UNI,
is sponsored by the Ministry of Industry , Commerce and Handicrafts .
Reference standards
It carries out the accreditation of laboratories in accordance with procedures established by the standards of the UNI CEI EN 45000.

Accredited laboratory
To be accredited SINAL a laboratory test must meet the following requirements :
- ensure the reference metrology;
- ensure the reference metrology;
- adequacy in instrumentation , competent , impartial technical opinion;
- time spent in conditions that allowed the accreditation;
International connections
SINAL is a member of :
- EAL - European Cooperation for Accreditation of Laboratories
that collects within the European accreditation bodies to:
- Laboratories (as SINAL) and
- Calibration Centres ( including Italian SIT)
for which special arrangements apply for mutual recognition , the test reports issued by accredited laboratories are recognized as equivalent by other signatory bodies .
Cooperates also with CERMET, ALPI and SINCERT .
